Partnach Gorge - Partnachklamm

A hiking path has been carved and tunneled into the walls of the Parnach Gorge. It offers views of waterfalls--in some cases, from behind.
The high limestone walls of the Partnachklamm Gorge is on the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, within walking or horse-and-carriage distance of the Olympic Ski Stadium.

Wear casual clothing and sturdy shoes when you hike alongside the Partnach Gorge. Although much of the path is sheltered by a rock overhang, there are places where spray, dripping water, or you may want cross the stream. (melted snow makes very cold water! :)

The limestone walls of the Partnach Gorge reach a maximum height of 80 meters or 262 feet.

A cool place to get a beer exist once you hike up and out of the gorge.
