Koloa/Kaipapau Loop , 12 July 2009

Our group of 15 gathered in Hauula's Kokololio Beach Park anticipating a new and exciting and hard trail, and it lived up to expectations: 5.3 miles, sea-level to 1270 feet and back down, on a trail that needs clearing and flagging. We did spend extra time finding obscure continuations, and we did trespass a farmer's field to regain the highway at the end, and we did take a couple hours longer than we might have guessed at the start; but many of us did our personal best and none got hurt.

A much needed drink after a 7 1/2 hour hike :)

One of the best hikes ever!
